If you absolutely want flat panel TV, have a large room and ambient light*, good, big plasma or LCD is the best option.
Avoid Zenith plasma and LG LCD.  They made the worst plasma and LCD panels I ever put my hands on.

A good 65" plasma TV costs more than $10,000 and a 103" unit is offered for $70,000.00.
(For 75 grand you can build a dedicated room, buy a good front projector, a HD DVD player, a media computer, a screen, and an audio system.  And still have a change for many BD and HD DVDs)

Large Plasma (50" and up)
